Walk your dog in the middle of the street if you can (this would be in a suburban neighborhood with little traffic and no sidewalks). You'll hear cars coming and can move to the side of the street.

The reason is to keep your dog away from neighbors' lawns.

Take along some bags to pick up after your dog.

While you're out, pick up one piece of litter or recycling and deliver it to the appropriate place!
