Rosemary Shortbread

You wouldn't think sugar and rosemary have a prayer of being at all compatible, but you'd be wrong!! This is yummy stuff! For a cocktail party, sometimes you want just a teensy bite of sweet, so I cut them about 1" x 1", maybe a tad larger, but not more than 1 1/2" square.

2 c flour
2 sticks butter
1/2 c sugar
2 T minced fresh rosemary

Run in processor until it gathers into a ball. May need a 1-2 T of icewater (maybe 3; dribble in a little at a time, using as little as necessary to make dough gather into a ball)

Spray 8x8" pan with Pam and pat dough in. Bake 20-30 min., or until lightly golden, turning pan half-way after half the cooking time has elapsed.

Remove from oven and let cool 3 min. Cut into 1 - 1 1/2" squares. Dust with powdered sugar and remove from pan; cool on rack. Store airtight after entirely cool.
