An MTNA survey (done in 1990 with 1989 data) indicated that that nearly all teachers applied the private half-hour rate to the weekly group lesson.

The length of the group lesson seemed to have no consistent bearing on the fee charged. The educational preparation of the teacher also had no measurable impact.
