Cinnamon Apple Pizza

This is a recipe from my son, the chef. It tastes like an apple tart.

The "pizza" dough:
2 c flour
1 t salt
1 T baking powder

Combine in a bowl. (Sift the flour if you want.)

Cut in 1/3 c shortening.

Make a well in the center of the flour/shortening mixture and pour in 3/4 c skim milk. Stir with a fork, then knead about 8 times.

Roll out to fit a round pizza pan (about 12" diameter). Make the edges a little higher to contain the juices.

The "topping":
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/8 t ground nutmeg
4 T sugar

2 large apples, peeled and cored, sliced in 1/8" slices (Put these in a bowl of water with 1 t lemon juice in it if you aren't cutting the apples just before using them.)

Mix dry ingredients and sprinkle over the crust. Lay the apple slices in concentric rings to cover dough.

Heat 1/4 c apricot jam and brush over the apple slices.

Bake at 425 (preheated) for 15-20 minutes, or until apples are tender.
